Lamb Shank with Prunes

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 lamb shanks 
  • 10 shallots, peeled
  • 3 prunes, cut into half
  • ½ apple, large sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 sprigs of rosemary 
  • 1 cinnamon sticks 
  • 1 cup water

 *for 2 serving

 

Instructions:

 

  1. Heat the cast-iron pot and add olive oil. 
  2. When the olive oil is hot, put the lamb shanks in the pot and fry both sides for five minutes. 
  3. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the lamb shanks.
  4. Add shallots, garlic, apples, rosemary, prunes, cinnamon sticks and water
  5. Lower the heat, close the lid and let it cook for about 2 hours. 
  6. Serve with cooking juice as a sauce.
