  • 1 tbsp of powdered chili
  • 1 tbsp of cumin
  • Cilantro
  • Lime wedges
  • 1 tbsp of oregano (Dried)
  • Avocado
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp of coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp of ghee
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp of paprika
  • 5kg/ 3.3 pounds of beef brisket
  • 5 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 squeezed limes
  • 2 ½ tbsp of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp of chipotle powder
  • 5 oz / 127 gram of green chiles
  • Lettuce
  • 3 squeezed orange juice
  • 1 tsp of allspice

METHOD

Step 1:

Preparation

Take the oregano, salt, coriander powder, paprika, chipotle powder, and black pepper, and allspice then mix to make the seasoning.

Next, cut the beef into large dices and coat evenly with the seasoning mix.

Step 2:

Cooking the Meat – Instant Pot

Sauté some ghee in the pot and fry enough chunks of beef until golden brown on all sides. Do this with the remaining cubes of beef.

Next, stop the Instant pot. Add cumin, lime, and orange juice, tomatoes, green chilies, garlic, and onion then use a wooden spoon to mix.

Close the Instant Pot’s lid and fasten the pressure valve. Cook in high pressure for 30 minutes then once the time is up, let the pressure release naturally.

Approximately: 20 – 25 Minutes for the pressure to release

30 minutes for the mixture to cook.

Step 3:

Serving

Release the pressure manually, and then use forks or your hands to shred the meat. On top of lettuce or veggies on bowls, serve and enjoy your meat juicy and hot.

Tip: You can still prepare this recipe with beef, pork, or chicken.
