Grilled Celeriac Steak -

Ingredients:

  • 1 large celeriac
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For sauce:

  • 1 small bulb of garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • ½ tsp olive oil
  • ½ handful of dill, chopped
  • ½ tbsp capers
  • ½ lemon juice, freshly squeezed 

Instructions:

 

  1. Cut the celeriac into 1cm thick slices and place the celeriac on a warm and greased cast iron skillet or baking tray lined with waxed paper. 
  2. Brush the celeriac with the olive oil and season with the salt and pepper. Drizzle the garlic bulb with olive oil and season with salt and pepper then cover it with aluminum foil. 
  3. Roast celeriac and garlic for about 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 375 F/190 C, turning the celeriac halfway until golden and tender.
  4. Unwrap the bulb and squeeze into a small bowl and mix with other sauce ingredients.
  5. Serve celeriac with sauce.
